Hi!

I'm running Ubuntu 19.04 with libreoffice 6.2.3-0ubuntu0.19.04.1~lo1 (from this PPA), and for some reason when I try to open ANY PDF in Draw, including one just created by LO Writer and exported to PDF without a password or encryption, I get a document with only this line of text at the top:

"This PDF file is encrypted and cant be opened."

Needless to say, this is impossible because as I mentioned I've even tried it with fresh-rendered PDFs. I'm sure it must be a missing/broken library or somesuch, but I'm drawing a blank as to which one to look at.

Any ideas? I'd hate to have to roll back to the version shipped with Ubuntu by default...

Thanks!

I see your problem, but if you are using some special repositories you better should turn to the people creating the binaries for that specific repository. I cannot confirm the behavior on Ubuntu-19.04 and the 6.2.3 Version from official Ubuntu repositories (Ubuntu itself delivers 6.2.3 through an apt upgrade)

The PPA I used is, as I understand it, maintained by the LibreOffice team. It's the "LibreOffice Fresh" PPA. Still, I removed that and installed 6.2.2-0ubuntu2 from out-of-the-box Ubuntu 19.04 repositories, and have the exact same problem, so that's not it.

I still think it's an issue with a dependent library not allowing the PDF extraction to succeed.

Thanks for your help, anyway.

Cheers!
