Since downloading Linux I can no longer find an option to export as a JPEG, only PDF and EPUB

I go to File > Export As and all I get is PDF and EPUB, but before downloading Linux I had a JPEG option. Why is this? Is there some sort of software I need?

It would be helpful to know what kind of file you are trying to export, as well as the version of LO, (and perhaps distro and version for the OS).

I am trying to convert an open office libre writer document version 6.0.7.3 to a Jpeg, usually I do this by going to file, export as but there is no jpeg option. I use ubuntu. Hope this helps. I use to be able to do this easy whilst still using libre on microsoft.

I think I figured it out. I left an answer. In reading your question I kept misreading “export as” as just “export”. I’ll edit the question for clarity.

You need to open File > Export, not Export As, in order to export a Writer document to JPEG and other less common formats.

Thanks, I tried that it has saved it as an html, with no option to save as jpeg.

This is very surprising. What formats are offered in the drop-down for the file format?

none, unless I do export as. I have now just converted the pdf to a jpeg online but annoying that I cannot do it on libre.

As a work-around, have you tried entering the extension explicitly?
