installed libre base - The driver class 'org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver' could not be loaded.

I just installed LibreOffice base on mac os mojave 10.14.5 and now i am getting the following error. The driver class ‘org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver’ could not be loaded. The additional driver class path is ‘vnd.sun.star.expand:$LO_JAVA_DIR/hsqldb.jar vnd.sun.star.expand:$LO_JAVA_DIR/sdbc_hsqldb.jar’.

I have installed java $ java -version
java version “12.0.1” 2019-04-16
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 12.0.1+12)
Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM (build 12.0.1+12, mixed mode, sharing)
brians-MBP:~ bkelly$

also installed java jdk 12.01.

Still not able to create a database. I am new to libre office on mac os. i have it installed on xunbuntx and no issues works like a champ out of the box any help would be apperciated.

Have you checked at LibreOffice -> Preferences -> LibreOffice -> Advanced whether your Java installation has been recognized by LibreOffice ?

es i did check and i should have provided those details. under preference → LibreOffice → advance. Under the section java options. the box is checked for java runtime env installed. the button is selected for the oracle corp under vendor version 12.01. the "location: /library/java/javavirtualmicahine/jdk-12.0.1.jdk/contents/home.

@kellykare Check out this bug report → https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124958

I was able to figure out the issue. I compared the versions of java on my xubuntu VM with the version on my mac and on the linux VM i had Java jdk 11.0.3. I logged into my oracle account and downloaded the jdk 11.0.3 and installed. update the the advacne tab to select the 11.0.3 version. exited and restarted my mac. opened base and it now works like a champ just like my linux VM. so the java jdk 12.0.1 is the issue. Thanks for you time.

I have the same problem and was searching but couldn’t find an answer, but thankfully you have one and I will switch out v12.1
