Can't paste anything outside Calc!!!

Hello,

I’m a user from Libreoffice for long time. Recently, I was using LO 6.2.3 x64 (but now updated to the 6.2.4), I discovered that when I was trying to paste something outside Calc, from windows, I was not able to paste it into Calc. The result of paste was a previous value that was copied from Calc. The only fix was to exit calc and then paste would work fine. Tried paste via ctrl+v, windows+v, from Edit Calc menu, but nothing works.
I also upgraded to the 6.2.4 but still the same. Even when I do Windows+V, showing me windows paste history, I cannot paste any of those paste results. Very fustrating. Any ideas?!

Are you using a clipboard manager?

And what do you exactly mean by “paste”? The question may sound weird, but there is a difference between CTRL-V (which works for me) and using menu Edit -> Paste (which doesn’t work indeed - greyed out)

Did you read my post?
I said this “Tried paste via ctrl+v, windows+v, from Edit Calc menu, but nothing works.”
Basically no Paste method works for me. This happens in Calc 6.2.3 and now on 6.2.4. The only way to paste something outside Calc is by exiting Calc and reenter it.

Yes - but I wrote my comment before you updated your question

I am still having this issue as well, LO 7.0.3.1, Windows 10, no 3rd party clipboard manager.

The behavior I experience:

Open a new or existing LibreOffice Calc sheet.
Copy plain-text content from another application.
Paste works as expected in Calc, with keyboard shortcut “CTRL-V”, Right-Click Menu → “Paste”, and Menu Bar → “Edit”->“Paste”.
Cut or Copy any content within Calc.
Paste works as expected (all methods), pasting in Calc, and outside Calc.
Copy plain-text content from another application.
Paste works as expected outside Calc (new clipboard contents pasted into other applications).
Paste in Calc (all methods) uses only the last value copied in Calc.
Copy in Calc always updates the system clipboard.
Calc does not seem to use the system clipboard’s value again until closed and reopened (all sheets).

Still having this issue. Different Windows 10 machine now:

Version: 7.4.6.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 5b1f5509c2decdade7fda905e3e1429a67acd63d
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I had this problem. Nothing worked. Something WAS pasted, but it was content from another spreadsheet last accessed weeks ago. That gave me a clue for a solution/workaround.

In the spreadsheet you’ve got open, copy the contents of a similar, empty, cell into the cell into which you’re wanting to paste the outside content.

Return to the outside document, copy your content, and then paste it where you want it in the spreadsheet.

That worked for me. Calc preferentially retains clipboard content from previous sessions within Calc files. It seems that copy-pasting something new within the current spreadsheet clears the Calc clipboard.

That’s a good hypothesis but Calc, nor LibreOffice, have a separate clipboard; they use the system clipboard shared by the other programs and utilities. Main culprits for blocked paste tend to be clipboard managers, YouTube downloaders, and other utilities that intercept the clipboard.
