I can't seem to embed an image in a odt document. I click Insert Image, select a jpg file (an image) and a frame appears in the document with the tag Image1 but no actual image. Just a blank frame.ert

Do you have a checkmark by “Images and Objects”?

In the Menu Tools>Options>LibreOffice Writer there by “Display”. Habe a look.
