I want to change the template of an existing Calc document.

I have found the template-changer-1.2.7c.oxt extension, but this only seems to work for Writer.

Is there a Calc equivalent please?

There is an updated version which also works with Calc, Impress, Draw, and Writer.

Tried this on a couple of files and got a BASIC run time error on them both. I have a screenshot of the code dump with the highlighted code line causing problems, but don't know how to post it here, or even if you want it. Happy to do more if it helps someone. I have come up with an alternative plan for my situation.
