Where might I change the default print command from "color" to "B & W" in LibreOffice Writer?

Whenever I send a LibreOffice Writer document over to the printer, the default setting is “color,” which I don’t want, rather than “black and white,” which I do want. So I want to change the default to “black and white,” rather than always have to delve down and manually choose “black and white” each time. But I don’t see anywhere within the program to make such a change in the default. Where might I find a control panel where I can make that change?

Create a new printer (same as color printer). Then set the properties of the new printer to output bw. Define the bw printer as default. LO will use this “new” printer as default and that’s it. (That works in Windows and Linux.)

Thank you, Grantler! Just the answer I needed, and it came to me quicker than I’d expected! May your day be blessed with a whole string of unexpected kindnesses!
