Calc edit cell contents in toolbar

LibreOffice on Windows 10 Home.

Up until recently when I entered text or a number in a Calc cell there has been a toolbar (not sure if that is the correct term) immediately above the cell matrix, in which I could edit the contents of the cell by clicking on it.

I have done something to make that toolbar disappear and cannot find out how to get it back. Fn F2 allows me to edit within the cell (the OS overrides straight F2 as its brightness control).

Is the cell editing toolbar still available?

If so, how do I get it back?

All toolbars can be reached in the menu via View>Toolbars.

Yes, but what is this one labeled as? I could not find a match there.

Do you mean the Formula Bar? Menu View>Formula Bar.

Yes, that 's the one. I did not realize that the Formula Bar also worked with text and numerals.
