Lim x to a

Hello!
Please, how to write in math (formula)

\lim_{x \to a}

(this was in latex!)

Many thanks!

Please see my answer to the question you recently asked.

Correct answer: play with the math editor (InsertObjectFormula) to learn how it works. There is no substitute for time spent with a program you do not know.

Answer to question as asked: Once in the math editor, you can type lim from{ x rightarrow a } { { sin x } over a } in the bottom pane. Note that the typography will not be as pretty as LaTeX, as LibO’s math rendering is just simply not as advanced. (Patches always welcome, of course!) This renders like so on my machine:

LibreOffice rendering of "limit as x goes to a of sin of x over a
