I have Word documents with hidden red text that only shows up when you click the paragraph (¶) button. Is it possible to see and/or delete this text from LibreOffice writer? It does show up if the document is saved as html and I can delete it that way, but there should be away to do it some way that will better preserve the formatting.
Have you tried View>Formatting Marks and Tools>Options, LibreOffice Writer>Formatting Aids, Hidden text check box?
Show the file. That might be just hidden text, That might be overwritten/deleted text in the change tracking mode. That might be anything.
