Libre will not create a folder for the download

Greetings,

I had an issue with printing, where a Document would only print the link, at the top of the page, & nothing more.

I clicked on Libre Help, & from there that led to upgrading to the 6.2.5 version.

During the Offline Installation, the original Libre Folder disappeared, from my desk top, & now I’m getting a “Warning” that the Folder can not be found!

Can anybody steer me in the Right Direction, as to what I’m doing wrong, or is wrong with My Sytem?

You didn’t specify your Operating System, so should we assume that you are using Windows 10?

Greetings ve3oat,

My Apologies, … It is Windows Ten.

And another Apology if this reply is a repeat,… I just replied apparently in the “Answer” Section???, but didn’t didn’t see anything posted. :>(

After going through all of the steps, & thinking that Libre is going to Download,… Towards the end of the Process a “Warning 1909” speaking of No Shortcut being installed, & verify the destination folder appears. When I click “OK”, then an “Internal Error 2902 ixoShortcutPropertyCreate” appears, & I click “OK”, cuz’ that’s the only option.

Then the Installation appears to be finishing up, with the result being that I’m then told that the “Wizard was interrupted before Libre 6.1.6.3 could be installed. System has not been modified”.

When this happened, I also received a Notification from Windows that “Controlled Folder Access was blocked C:\Windows…\svchost.exe from making changes to memory”.

Are there Applications that I have to Shut Down, before this Installation will install properly?

After doing some digging,… I found several documents that are advising me to temporarily shut down Windows Defender, herein the Libre Website, of which I am going to try.

I also “Got the light turned on” in my flustered mind about the “Tags”, & went to “EDIT” the tags under “Windows Ten”, “Install Failure”, “Warning 1909”, & “Internal Error 2902”, which it “Appeared to accept”, but when I cllicked “Save” it reverted back to “Common” WTH?

Have a look at the Wiki.
