Successfully downloaded 6.2.5 Installer; error message says it's an invalid installer

Have downloaded installer for upgrade several times but I always get an error message (invalid installer - check with vendor to see if valid) upon attempting the installation.

What did you download (exact filename) from where and for what operating system?

With consistently broken downloads, we have seen at least four patterns:

  1. Broken download agents (e.g., some exotic browsers).
  2. Some glitch in antivirus software (damaging some downloads because its today’s virus database has a problem).
  3. Broken file on a mirror (then, a specific URL of download is needed to find it and fix).
  4. The mirror could have a correct file, but advertise it as wrong content type; combined with specific downloader, it might result in damaged download (and in this case, it’s not strictly a downloader fault, and again needs specific URL to find the problem on the mirror).

Cases 3 and 4 may happen when the same mirror is chosen repeatedly by the server software that decides which mirror is the nearest to you (that happens), and one may try to choose mirrors manually using “Info” link on the download page.

Downloaded “LibreOffice_6.2.5_Win_x64.msi” from “Download LibreOffice | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Based on OpenOffice - Compatible with Microsoft”. OS is “Win 10”.
