When I try and use libre office to open a attachment with photos, I see no photos. I see a notice saying read only. How do I view a attachment that has photos using libre office?

I'm a bit baffled as to why you want to us LO as a photo viewer. Can you elaborate on these attachments? Are they just images? If so use a more appropriate tool for photo viewing.

Thanks for the reply. So, I shouldn't use libre office to try and open a email attachment that has photos I want to view? When I view my options to open the attachment, libre office seems to be the only option that opens the attachment. If libre office does not or is not designed to view email attachment photos, please advice. Thank you.

What is the file extension of your attachment? If it's some kind of text document, like .doc(x) or .odt, it's perfectly alright (i.e. a text document with pictures inserted in it). If it's graphic material, like .jpeg or .png, use the preferred viewer on your OS.

BTW, you didn't mention which OS and mail browser you are on.
