LibreOffice 6.2 Not opening or opening then hanging

I have restarted computer, Updated LO checked compatibility and turned off windows defender firewall. Does anyone have any solutions for what seems to be a common issue

This began with occasional crashes and has progressed to the current state. In writer, I can open some files but not others and then it hangs.
I use windows 10 and am not aware of any upgrades
