I have a calc workbook with 10 or so sheets.
Some sheets, i can add a push button, others i cant.
Is there any reason that im being disabled on some sheets
all protection that im aware of is off

upload as requested took out most of the sheets
the room reservation sheet is the problem
The only reason I can see, would be a “Protected Sheet” (see “look” symbol in the sheet tabs for the related sheet). Additionaly you may want to tell us your operating system and the LibreOffice version you are using. Most effivient would be an upload of an anonymoized version of your file. Pleas use edit function to add additional information to your question and do not user Add Answer* for that purpose.
You should have mentioned that the file originally has been imported from Excel. To fix the issue in the example file above - create a copy of the sheet “Room Reservation”, remove the original sheet and rename “Room Reservation Copy” to its original name. That worked for me on:

I’ve used it since approx 2014,and didn’t think of that. It had been working fine until recently.
I have done as you said and it works.
I will now try that on the original which is a far larger book with many sheets

I just tried the suggestion on a copy of the full original book
The ability to add buttons is now doable, but the spreadsheet calls to other sheets, are all screwed up.
