Consecutive page numbering *solved*

Hello!

I had page numbers all figured out until I didn’t. I now have each chapter restarting at page number 0, which needless to say is throwing off the table of contents.

I know that I am supposed to modify the Heading 1 style, check text breaks, and set the page to 0 to get continuous page numbering. Even after modifying the Heading 1 style as described and updating the entire master document, the page numbers start over at 0 for each chapter. Sometimes I check that I’ve modified the Heading 1 style properly and the page seems to reset itself to 1.

Any ideas? I’m so close to being done with this thing and I’d love to be done tonight. Fixing the page numbers is the last thing to do.

Thank you!

Lisa

Maybe you have modified the paragraph style to reset the page number, Menu/Paragraph/[Text Flow] - Break.

still frustrated trying to follow the pargraph/text flow & break. Want consecutive page numbering at bottom of page, center for book manuscript. Any further suggestions?

THAT WAS IT!!

Genius, you!

Thank you!

ETA: Sorry, it took me a few days to get back to this–fixing this was indeed a matter of modifying the paragraph style in the document: Menu/Paragraph/[Text Flow] - Break.
