I have a spreadsheet originally from Excel. In Excel I can create a push button and connect it to a macro that runs when the button is pressed. Save, close re=open - all good. If I open that spreadsheet in LibreCalc, the push button has gone. If I create it in Librecalc, it is all good and runs fine. BUT if I save it and close calc and then re-open the file with calc, the push button has again disappeared.

Which OS and LibreOffice-Version do you use? Which file format do you save?

I have a similar problem with form controls in a Calc spreadsheet that don't work once saved to a xls or xlsx format.

I have created a Calc spreadsheet with simple form push buttons that I have loaded with a URL. The intention is that the user would simply click on the push button to go to the specified Web site. When I save the spreadsheet in XLS format, close the document, and then re-open it, the buttons have all lost their properties (all of the properties have reverted to default values). If I save the original spreadsheet in XLSX format, close the original, and then re-open it, the buttons have been eliminated entirely. If I save the original spreadsheet in ODS format, close the original, and then re-open it, the buttons all appear to behave as intended. Is ODS the only intended format for push buttons?

I am using the latest version of LO (6.3 on Windows 10).

@Fossie01, I've had many problems with buttons, currently I'm just using: photo / drawing / geometric figures, right click on the picture to select and Assign Macro ...
