Lost drop-down menu for Writer - How do I get it back?

I switched to a full screen view, and the drop down menu disappeared. This meant that I couldn’t save documents in any other format, or access any drop down menu items. How is this reversed?

also, as I am using a Macbook, the Dock disappeared. So when I click on the Libre Office icon [to attempt to get the LO toolbar up the top] nothing happens. LO does not launch… The only way to get a document opened is via clicking on a file of an .odt doc.

In Mac you can leave the full screen view with the esc-key.

When you are in LibO and go to full screen you have and additional possibility. You should see a small floating tool bar called “Full Screen” and an icon inside saying also “Full Screen”. It is strange so but click the icon “Full Screen” and you return to normal view.

“It is strange so but click the icon “Full Screen” and you return to normal view.”
Actually “Full Screen” button is a toggle button. So clicking on it it toggle off the “Fulls Screen”. So there is logic behind this, but I somehow agree with you this is not the best design. It would probably be better to have a “Close” button or something similar - or Full Screen: on - off button, or probably the the most logical for end users: Return to normal view (or non-full screen view) or something…

@L-user - I agree with your proposals and hope someone modifies this. Toggle buttons can be very tricky if they contain ambiguous word(s).
