I converted OpenOffice.org Macros Explained.odt V4 and read on my phone and tablet in EPUB format by using Writer’s menu File > Export as > Export as EPUB.

So I only tested EPUB once. I would try to adjust the page size in the ODT file to the output product EPUB.

Today I did Export directly as EPUB again and uploaded to Google Books. Uploading passed, but after Processing the result was Uploading failed.
The table is incomplete in 8 inch tablet as well.
