Macro does not record alternative find and replace

I need to record a macro that uses Alternative find and replace. I tried

Tools / Macros / Record Macro

but none of the Alternative find and replace actions were recorded. Is there some way to do this?

no - the limited functionality of macro recording doesn’t allow this - see also here
