It would save some space on small screens and would make sidebar less annoying.
I’m using Libre Office 4.1 on Ubuntu 13.10 from PPA.
There does not appear to be an existing open enhancement request relating to this feature. Please file an enhancement bug and provide as much information about this new feature as possible. Don’t forget to mark your bug as an ‘enhancement’. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker. Be sure to include a link in your bug description back to this AskLO thread.
