For now my only use is for Writer. When I click on the desktop icon > "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\swriter.exe" it takes a lot of time to load. It's like it's bloated with the complete suite. Suggestions?

No Windows version given, no Libreoffice version given, no cpu, ram, disk or any other relevant hardware information given and finally no number of seconds given writer takes to start and you really expect suggestions?

With me: When I click on the icon for Writer on the desktop it takes about 3 seconds. If I click on the icon for LibreOffice, then it takes about 2 seconds (without further module).

So I can not understand your problem. Is it possible that your hard drive has to wake up first? Try to start Writer several times, if something changes.

Can your virus protection cause delays? Disable anti-virus and writer testing.

Do you run other programs that may have priority?

Is your hardware alright? Check the system requirements.

Why I'm not certain, but now it comes up similar to yours. Will keep watch. Thanks for your response.
