I was browsing my Windows Store on my Windows Surface Pro 6, Took a Screen Snapshot, made a couple poorly handwritten notes. of thoughts after stumbling across, A Charged Version of LibreOffice by CIB.image description

Just Curious Is this one of the developers ensuring support money from customers who value LibreOffice. I Originally Used VipreOffice 15+Years Ago, Started Using LibreOffice 7+Years Ago. Currently Don't have Any OpenSource Programs Knowingly Installed On My Device. Though I chop and change my installed Apps as A Lot Don't Work Well On Windows 10 With Compatible touch screen and keyboard attached laptops and convertible devices.

I did not know that, but why should I care? Your posting is irrelevant here because this is a site for questions and answers about LibreOffice usage.

Yes, this is the CIB-branded version by one of main contributors and sponsors of LibreOffice (along with Collabora having a similar paid offering in Apple Store). That's absolutely OK.

By the way, here is the FSF statement on selling free software.

in fact you mix Open Source and Free of Charge - LibreOffice is licensed using Mozilla Public License v2.0 and this states for example

Charge related to Distribution

3.2. Distribution of Executable Form

If You distribute Covered Software in Executable Form then:

such Covered Software must also be made available in Source Code Form, as described in Section 3.1, and You must inform recipients of the Executable Form how they can obtain a copy of such Source Code Form by reasonable means in a timely manner, at a charge no more than the cost of distribution to the recipient; and...[snip]

Charge related to Service

3.5. Application of Additional Terms

You may choose to offer, and to charge a fee for, warranty, support, indemnity or liability obligations to one or more recipients of Covered Software....[snip]

Full text of Mozilla Public License v2.0

Thus I cannot see any license violation on the offering in Windows App store (as always when talking about legal issues: No warranty; I'm not an advocate)
