Writer 4.1: Checkbox not clickable - bug or dumbness?

Hallo!

I have created a simple form in Writer containing, amongst other things, a few checkboxes. For some reason those checkboxes cannot be clicked in Writer. They work when the document is exported as PDF form, though. Any other form element works as expected in both Writer and Acrobat. Has anyone stumbled across this issue? Do I have to set any properties on the checkboxes?

I am running the most current version (4.1.0.3).

I found a somewhat startling solution: I had not assigned label texts to the checkboxes. Doing so made them work as expected. This is rather weird - and mentioned nowhere in the documentation - so I will file a bug report.
