I have added comments to a Calc document but the comments are quite long. Problem is that the Calc document is now terribly slow. I was hoping I could take the contents of each comment and make a separate Writer document for each and then link to the specific Writer document from a cell in Calc. Is this possible?
So as it turns out I was trying to use DDE originally. I happened to take a look at the Insert Menu … and inserted a Hyperlink to the document path and opened it in as _blank. Nifty!

perhaps putting the comment in a third sheet in the Calc document, inserting links to those.
