Is there a way to delete certain Autofill entries in Calc without turning it off completely?

For example, I’m working on a spreadsheet where the vast majority of cells have the word ‘called’ - normally as soon as I type ‘c’ it suggests an autofill of ‘called’, as expected. In one cell, once, I entered ‘called, on holiday, call back next week’ and now every time I press ‘c’ it prompts me to autofill to ‘called, on holiday, call back next week’.

Is there a way to remove this suggestion and still keep Autofill?

Hello

short answer: no, that’s not possible.

Autofill (the term in LibreOffice for the function you are talking about in fact is AutoInput) is dynamically created from the values of the current column without any filtering against some black list. To restrict allowed values you need to use Data -> Validity.

Ah thanks, guess I’ll have to insert a new column and re-enter the values I do want and rename the unwanted one to start with a different letter…

And yes of course, AutoInput

Find & Replace the unwanted ?
