how to format 10/19 as October 2019

Excel converts 10/19 to October 2019. LO apparently won’t do this.

Calc considers this a string of text. If you don’t mind, you can enter 1/10/19 to force numeric (time and date) interpretation. Then you format the cell as MMM YYYY or MMMM YYYY depending whether you want a 3-letter abbreviation or full month name.
