When I go into Libre Office I can see all of my password protected files. If I click on the “x” the file is deleted. How can I make so that I need a password to delete the file?

When you go into LibreOffice, you see a list of recently opened documents. Clicking on the x on the thumbnails simply removes the entries from the list, and does not remove the files from where they are stored. This has nothing to do with password protection of the document; and also it has nothing to do with permissions to file operations (which is a property of used OS + file system, or of used digital asset management (DAM) system), which you seem to be after. LibreOffice does not control the said permissions.
