Edited DOCX documents and returning them

I frequently have to edit and return MS word documents to colleagues. I tried this a long time ago and found that when the documents I had edited in LibreOffice were then opened in MS word, there were some errors.
Docx is proprietary, if I understand correctly, so LibreOffice can’t create docx files perfectly.
My question is: is LibreOffice good enough at editing and saving as docx that my MS word using colleagues won’t notice I’ve used LibreOffice? I use track changes a lot, so that is also important.

It depends on the feature set you use in your documents, and thus only you can find out by experimenting.
