How to add true type fonts to Writer v6.3 in MacOS

I know that to add true type fonts to a Linux OS like Ubuntu 18.02 (and higher), one has to make a Fonts directory, add the fonts to that directory from Microsoft Word/Office, then re-open LibreOffice to view the document with the true type fonts.

How do I add true type fonts in Apple’s MacOS ? Is the MacOS directory in \Users<\user_name>\Library\Fonts ?
