Calc+Base: Why do deleted databases still exist in 'Data sources' panel?

Such file was deleted permanently and the ‘Trash’ folder is empty.

There is an error message when I clicked on its table tab.

How can we clear them up ?

[ LibreOffice 6.2.8.2-2 ]

Hello,

Registered database names remain even after a Base file may have been moved or deleted. Go to the registered DB’s and delete what is no longer valid. Tools->Options->LibreOfice Base->Databases.

Dear @Ratslinger ,

There are also the New, Edit and Delete button in over there.

This made me understood that why it’s not automatically, for each folder may have the same database name.

Thank you so much again.

Why?

Because you registered it. “Registered” and “available” are independent properties of the database’s connectivity.

Kind of like the “recent documents”, where applications “remember” that a document has been opened even when you delete the document.

How to clean up?

  • Menu item Tools - Options
  • Left pane: expand the LibreOffice Base branch and select Databases
  • Select the entry for the database file you deleted, and click Delete to unregister it.
