Do remaining folders of uninstalled versions matter?

Before getting settled on the version 6.2.8.2-2, I used to install and uninstall many versions previously.

Are these remaining folders after the uninstallation?

Inside folder libreofficedev6.4 is the same as in folder libreoffice6.3 .

Linux systems, like most mainframes, provide VERSION CONTROL so you can run multiple versions of software. This allows you to install and test various versions and smooth the transfer to a new system. This is why you have the choice of versions. If you are concerned about removing previous versions you can rename the folders first, just to check.

When you install a development version, it will copy across the folder from your existing production system and give it a dev suffix.
