I’m printing a brochure and want five blank pages before the document starts, with page numbering starting at page one on the first printed page. How do I do this
You can blank out the page-numbers by adding a white rectangle on top of them.
Check this step by step on http://openoffice-uni.org in following chapters:
- 12 Default Page Formatting
- 13 Title Page
- 14 Papers Without a Title Page
- 15 Pages with and without numbers
- 16 Roman Page Numbering
(This works in LibreOffice, too.)
You need at least 2 different page styles for adequate formatting the pages and inserting the page numbers beginning from page 6 (count: no. 1).
- First page style (could be First
Page) → from page 1-5 (be aware of automatical change to Standard Page Style and alter this behaviour - check on above mentioned information source) - Second page style (could be
Standard) → from page 6 on, counting from 1 on
