When converting Powerpoints, Smartart looks weird

When converting Microsoft Office powerpoints (Office 2013) with Smartart over to LibreOffice’s “Impress” (V: 4.1.1.2), it looks weird.

Specifically, the text doesn’t look the same. It loses it’s formatting. Text is also brought to the front layer, it it’s behind something

Here’s what it SHOULD look like, in PowerPoint

Here’s what it looks like in Libre Office

Is there a way to fix this, or should I use a different tool?

Could be a bug. I reported it as such

The related bug report is fdo#68993.

@oweng, yep, that’s the one I submitted

What do you mean by “converting”? Did you convert from one format to another? And then opened with LibreOffice?

LibreOffice is capable of opening several file types including Microsoft Office documents. I suggest to open original non-converted file with LibreOffice.

If document is not opened correctly then please file a bug at: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/ but do upload your sample document and also description how document is opened and how it is expected to be opened.

My language may have been misleading. I meant “When you open it in LibreOffice”
