How do I open hyperlinks in background? [closed]

I would like to be able to open hyperlinks in the background rather then viewing them automatically on opening. I often click several hyperlinks in a document and would like to be able to click all the desired links THEN view open webpages rather than having to click hyperlinks, click back to calc, click hyperlink, click back to calc etc etc.

Is there a way to do this?

I am already seeing the behavior you desire, with (pre-release) LO 5.0.0 RC4, and Google Chrome under Windows 7, as follows:

  • Start Calc, with a new document.
  • Use Insert|Hyperlink to put URLs into some cells.
  • Control-click one of those hyperlinks. The Google Chrome icon in my tray starts flashing, but my Calc window remains in focus.
  • Control-click the rest of the hyperlinks.
  • Switch to Chrome. A new tab was opened for each hyperlink that I clicked.

Please describe your configuration (LibreOffice version and web browser), what you are doing, and what behavior you see.
