I think my spreadsheet has been protected by accident. How do I removed the proction
To understand how a spreadsheet might get protected with a non-empty password by accident is beyond my capabilities. After all the password must be entered twice in identical writing.
If the password was empty, you can remove the protection with the empty password a gain.
The protection issue is a guess as I cannot change some of the font colours changes being ignored altogether.

- This is not a solution for your own question; so typing this into a box named “Propose Your Solution” seems … strange.
- This is actually an important part of the question - or rather the question itself, with what you wrote in original question being some irrelevant noise (like “I have one problem, but will ask about something completely different, which was what I figured to possibly be the cause - but might be not”). You need to edit your question, add this information there, and remove this “answer”.
- Test if you have accidentally activated sharing of the spreadsheet.
