It looks like the leading ’ [single quote] character may be causing formatting issues.
How do I get rid of it?

the leading single quote is an indication that
- numbers have been imported as text
- text can be converted to numbers
Select the column showing textual data (numbers) and use Data -> Text to Columns to convert to numbers (no selections/settings required - just click OK)

Thanks!!! I actually did have to select the whole column to effect the change.
