Unable to keep Text Box as a Toolbar.

I begin by right clicking the standard toolbar on top of screen. A menu drops down with several “Standard” options. Then I left click “Text Box”. A nice toolbar appears below the first toolbar. I would appear I can now edit my text. But, as soon as I click a section in the document and try to edit, such as size, font, or position of text to be edited, the Text Box just disappears.

I am using version 6.2

I am talking about the toolbar on the top of the screen that allows me to edit text. so I can change font size, add bold print, etc.

By clicking on “text box” as in my first explanation. the toolbar that allows me to edit text, is displayed. However, as soon as I click on text I need to edit, the tool bar disappears. Therefore, I am NOT able to edit any text at all.

Text Boxes are intentionally deleted, if they are empty, to avoid documents getting bloated with empty objects. Thus, before you move the cursor anywhere else, enter at least one character into a text box.

Ok - then I don’t understand what you mean by click on text box - you can click on Insert Text Box-Icon, the toolbar changes a contextual toolbar for using text box and then applies what I wrote in my first comment, but it is not required to click on Insert Text Box, if you just want to write text (just start writing)

I am unable to edit my text. Yes, I can add text freely, but there is no way to edit fonts, size of text, bold or plain text, centered, or left, or right, etc.

I find if I RIGHT click on the toolbar that allows one to save, print, etc, a window pops up with lots of options. This is where I find an option called, “Text Box”. when I click on that option, then an edit toolbar appears on the top of the screen, below the toolbar I just right clicked on. This edit tool bar then just disappears as soon as I click on any text I need to edit, such as the size of the text, f tor bold, or font of he text needs to be altered.

Thank you for responding.
