Somehow I must have inadvertantly downloaded LibreOffice (“LO”).

When I create a Word or Excel document and save it and then reopen it at a later time, it opens in the “LO” application. I’ve used Control Panel > Programs to try to uninstall it but “LO” does not appear on the list of programs I am able to uninstall. If anyoneone can assist, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you … joe duffy/

  1. When opened a document in LO, please open Task Manager (right-click on Windows TaskBar to see that option), and in Task manager, right-click on LibreOffice element to open its location; edit your question to add the information which location does it open.
  2. Please open Control Panel > Programs, and type Lib into the Filter box above the list of installed applications; then take a screenshot of the result and also insert into the question.
  3. In Windows Settings, open Default apps->Set defaults by app, and look for LibreOffice there; if present, take a screenshot of its content; if absent, look for some of MS Office applications, open it, and click on any file that is associated with LibreOffice to take a screenshot.
  4. Mention your Windows version.
  5. Mention your LibreOffice version
  6. Mention your MS Office version.
