Using coversion libraes without running libreoffice instance

I am wondering if it is possible to use libreoffice format converters as libaries from a java application. What i want es convert format file with no libre office instance running.

There are libraries under the umbrella of Document Liberation Project, that are not only used in LibreOffice, but also in other projects to load documents. However, they are not a "conversion libraries", capable of conversion one document format into another. So no, you cannot use LibreOffice conversion functionality without running LibreOffice instance - at least without big investment into development of much of functionality of LibreOffice.
