Suppress Recent Document List

For security reasons, I wish to suppress the Recent Document List when I open a file in Writer.

Easy Fix, Just remove it from your menu.

  • Click Tools
  • Click Customize
  • Click Menus Tab on top of page that appears
  • Under LibreOffice Writer Menus Click window arrow to expose FILE
  • Under Menu Content Highlight Recent Document
*Click the Arrow next to Modify
    *Click Delete

VOILA…it tis gone… You can write your love letters with peace of mind…

Happy Sailing…

This did not work for me. Using History Master worked.

This does not reflect LireOffice 5’s menus, and the link for History Master is dead. This leaves NO solution in LibreOffice 5. Please advise.

Get the History Master extension from

http://bernard.marcelly.perso.sfr.fr/HM/index.html

Install it, restart LO and set Picklist to zero (remove all items and Apply changes) under menu Tools > Add-Ons > History Master

Set also URLHistory list to zero.

Thank you, History Master worked like a charm. Pity the main program can’t do this without an add-on.

zcot of linuxmint-help irc channel found the answer for me.

Tools, Options, Advanced, Expert configuration. Type picklist and search button. It’s the 2nd in the list. Change the value to 0.

History master doesn’t exist as a extension listing in libres official extension site.
