I would like to implement a conditional formatting such that if the colour of a particular cell (e.g. A1) is red, then other cells (e.g. B1, C1 and D1) will become red as well, thanks for any feedback to my problemo 
There not defined functions to get the cell colour.
But it is possible define one. In this thread of Aoo forum you can find the macro for a function to get it between others, developed by Andreas Seager, look for the function CELL_BACKCOLOR.
