I didn’t password protect a spreadsheet file, but now it won’t open without a password. This is a large, very important file. What can I do to open it?
Are you sure no one has protected the file with password?, Truly sound very strange a file has been protected without human intervention. Verify if the file save date/time is what do you think must be.
Please what is the file type, LibreOffice version and the Operating System?
It’s LibreOffice 4.0. I have Windows 8. I’m the only one that uses the computer and I have never put a password on a file. I don’t even know how! PLEASE help me! Thank you!
What do you see when the file is opening?
Do you get some error message? How do you know the file is password-protected - does password window open or something?
usually LO will give you the option to open a copy of a file which can then be edited.
