AmigaOne computers

Hello,

I think that LibreOffice is a great set of programs. I use it in Linux and Windows. I see that you make it for multiple computer platforms. I would like to know if you would be making it for the AmigaOne platform?. If not, I think you need to looking into it. I have been working with the Amiga platform for years. It has a very good multitasking GUI platform. That has many users world wide, that many users would benefit from your office suite. Thank you so much for taking your time to read my question.

Who do you address your question to?

Ask LibreOffice is a place where users ask questions like “How do I … ?”, and other users try to help answering those. So do you expect users to “look into it” and “make LibreOffice for the AmigaOne platform”?

Even if you were addressing your question to LibreOffice developers here, it would still be addressed incorrectly. It’s the task for those interested in the platform who decide that they need LibreOffice on their platform; read available how to build documentation; and try doing it on their platform; if they encounter problems specific to the platform, they come with patches, and in the end, start supporting a port for their platform. E.g., see how FreeBSD does that.

So see if your platform offers you a port of LibreOffice, and if not, try to convince AmigaOne developers to provide it.

Wikipedia says that the last announced (not even released) version of AmigaOS dates back to 2012. I doubt that anyone would undertake to produce a port for it.

True (even though the last released version, which is from an older branch that the one announced in 2012 is dated 2016).
