I am using LibreOffice v. 4.0.4.2 with Windows 8.0. When I attempt to open a .docx document i immediatly see a dialog saying that LibreOffice had a problem and will close. I have been able to open the document in MS Word 2010 using my friends computer and the only thing that I can readily see is that the document contains several images. It looks to me like there may be a problem loading a document containing multiple images? Is there a workaround for this?
OK, I found a work-around … sort of. I downloaded version 4.1 and it reads my document with no difficulty. My apologies, should have checked that first!
