Why do I get this message?

Every time I create anything and try to save it, i get this message now.
“Error saving the document Untitled 2:
Object not accessible.
The object cannot be accessed
due to insufficient user rights.”

Or it’ll say I need Administrator rights or something. It didn’t ever do this as long as I’ve had it. I am the only person who uses the program, It’s on my laptop. Nobody ever uses my laptop and I have never changed any settings about or within the program to warrant getting these messages. Meanwhile I can never save important documents or Drawings or anything I create now.

Did you try to “save as” and select a specific place of which you have access (maybe a system folder)? Maybe a “place to save files” setting is set on a path which doesn’t exist or not allowed to save there. The path for usual saving may be changed in extras → options → paths

Yes I did try save as. And that’s another thing that’s not the same, that I’ve never changed or even gone into. A different dialog box started opening when I try to save anything. But even if I change the path within that box it still, gives a general input output error message or one of the messages I 1st mentioned.

I have the same problem for months on Windows 10, actually in version 6.3.4.2 (x64). First attempt failed always, second, mostly is successful. However, workaround is easy, can you look on it?

Windows 10? A Windows update may have altered settings for Controlled Folder Access. See this forum post for solutions.

Yes I have Windows 10, but I don’t use Windows 10 defender and I have Avast for anti virus protection. I’ll try the solution in the link you provided anyway & see what happens, thank you!
