As the last post on the topic about inserting an image into a database was closed in 2015 (as being outdated for v 6.4.1.2) and there doesn't appear to be any straightforward methods in the Tools or Insert options, are we now supposed to understand that this simple task is beyond the scope of the Libreoffice software???

If there is a solution to this, then can someone kindly update me on it ??? Thanks

Hello,

As the last post on the topic about inserting an image into a database was closed in 2015 ...

Along with many other postings after your noted date, just posted this one a few days ago -> The image field property [longvarbinary]

Now you do not specify any database type. Although HSQLDB embedded v1.8 has a long standing problem with large amounts of data (images being one source), images in other DB's have worked.
