I have the same templates in master and regular documents, both show single spacing. When I add my subdocuments to the master some stay single and some change to proportional. Sometimes when I go back to check on the subdocument, it has now changed to proportional. What am I doing wrong???

- have you changed some paragraph styles in the master or subs without updating the template?
- have you manually applied some formatting in a sub?
- are you sure the style names are the same in the master and the subs?
- have you added new styles in a sub (not present in the template)?
- OS and LO version
OK…yes to probably all of these. I am working on these answers and will get back to you soon.
I have begun to use styles properly, or trying to. I see now when I go to add “new” style, proportional spacing is clicked on for a lot of them as default. I switched to single space with each new style and things are good now. Thanks for your help. I don’t know if this is an answer or just me saying I have been constantly stupid.
This was solved by adding a “Story” style to the text subdocuments and making sure single space was enabled and not proportional which seemed like the default for some reason.
