Libre 4.0 stopped opening docs. Tried to install 4.1.1.2 but got the same error message at the end of the install process “unable to complete installation.”
Please tell us also what your platform is (Mac? Linux? Win?), how you are performing the upgrade, and whether LibO was working fine before you attempted the upgrade (implied in your question, but good to have confirmation). Thanks!
I have the same problem. I also upgraded, hoping this would offer a solution but nothing changes.
I dont get error msg, but little circle keeps turning and document won’t open.
I worked ok for 6 months and now it stopped working since a few days (before i upgraded). I work under windows 8.

If I understand correctly your installation was done without an error - so you don’t have the same problem as above… Try renaming the profile. Maybe your profile is corrupted. See: LibreOffice user profile - The Document Foundation Wiki
