pdfs rotated after export to pdf

HI, I have produced a potrait document with a couple of pages of text. At the end I have inserted thre full page pdfs. and saved the document, and everything looks ok.
When I export this document to pdf, the text pages are in portrait, and the pdf pages are rotated 90 degrees and the bottom half of the pages is missing off the side of the portrait page.
Any ideas how I can get the whole thing into portrait pages?

How did you insert PDFs into Writer (not aware of any method to do so)?
